Miniature Decelerators
SC25-SC650 Series: High-Capacity Per Cycle
From SC²25 to SC²190 – FEATURES
Piston-tube design for maximum energy absorption.
Self-compensating, tube-piston technology Torque range from 10 Nm/cycle to 31 Nm/cycle Stroke length from 8 mm to 12 mm
ACE Controls’ SC²25–SC²190 Series miniature decelerators are designed for applications requiring high energy absorption capacity combined with exceptionally smooth damping. The range, with thread sizes from M10 to M14, covers a wide range of effective masses, from 1 kg up to 1,550 kg. These models stand out for their high energy efficiency and the integration of tube-piston technology with a diaphragm seal developed and perfected by ACE, which ensures progressive and controlled deceleration curves.
The design and construction allow for direct installation inside pneumatic cylinders operating at pressures of 5 or 7 bar, as well as use in applications where deceleration must occur near the axis of rotation. The SC²25–SC²190 series decelerators are maintenance-free, equipped with an integrated mechanical stop, and can be installed in any position. The optional side-load adapter also allows for impact angles of up to 25°. They are primarily used in pick-and-place systems, rotating pneumatic modules, and industrial automation solutions.
From SC²300 to SC²650 – FEATURES
Piston-tube design for maximum energy absorption.
Self-compensating, tube-piston technology Torque range from 73 Nm/cycle to 210 Nm/cycle Stroke range from 15 mm to 23 mm
ACE Controls’ SC²300–SC²650 Series miniature decelerators utilize accumulator technology that ensures high levels of safety and superior performance. Thanks to the special ACE piston tube, these soft-contact models offer energy absorption capacity up to three times greater than that of standard decelerators of similar size from previous series, such as the SC190–SC925.
A diaphragm accumulator integrated into the SC²300–SC²650 miniature decelerators acts as an oil compensation element within the decelerator, replacing traditional sponge materials. This design further enhances safety and makes the devices particularly suitable, for example, for use in rotating modules. The series is available with a wide, progressive range of effective masses and is equipped with an integrated mechanical stop.
Like other ACE decelerators, the SC²300–SC²650 series is maintenance-free and ready for direct installation. The side-load adapter option allows for impact angles of up to 25°. Designed to offer high performance, long service life, and compact dimensions, these decelerators are used in numerous applications, from industrial automation to installation near rotating axes.
