TUBUS elastomer bumpers are innovative components made from a special copolyester elastomer, characterized by high shock-absorbing performance. Available in various shapes, they are selected based on the damping profile required by the application and are easy to install thanks to their practical screw-fastening system.

The material’s elastic properties allow it to absorb large amounts of energy, making TUBUS bumpers particularly suitable for emergency applications as well. These characteristics make them a reliable and cost-effective solution when total energy absorption is not required, while ensuring effective protection for machinery and structures.

TA Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer BumpersTA Series from ACE Controls represent an innovative, maintenance-free cushioning solution designed for reliable and cost-effective industrial applications. The body is made of a special copolyester elastomer, capable of providing progressively decreasing cushioning action with high energy absorption right from the initial stage of the stroke.

The material’s excellent thermal properties ensure consistent performance across a wide temperature range, from –40 °C to +90 °C. The operating life is estimated at up to one million cycles, while its low weight and competitive cost make the TA model a viable alternative to traditional hydraulic end-of-stroke brakes. It is particularly suitable for applications where neither a precise stopping position nor total energy absorption is required.

The TA series is available in diameters ranging from 12 mm to 116 mm and covers an energy absorption range from 2 Nm to 2,951 Nm. Designed to offer maximum energy capacity in compact spaces, it guarantees significantly longer service life compared to other solutions: up to 20 times longer than polyurethane bumpers, 10 times longer than rubber bumpers, and 5 times longer than steel springs.

TS Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer Bumpers – TS Series from ACE Controls are reliable, maintenance-free cushioning systems designed to effectively absorb energy while minimizing stress on the machine. The material’s elastic properties provide progressive cushioning, ensuring smooth and safe operation.

The elastomer’s excellent thermal properties ensure consistent performance across a wide temperature range, from –40 °C to +90 °C. The TS series is available in diameters ranging from 14 mm to 107 mm and covers an energy absorption range from 2 Nm to 966 Nm, making it ideal for numerous industrial applications where compactness, reliability, and protection of mechanical systems are required.

TR Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer Bumpers – TR Series from ACE Controls feature an innovative design that allows for radial deformation. This feature enables prolonged and gentle deceleration, with progressive energy absorption—particularly during the final phase of the stroke—thereby reducing stress on the machine and structure.

The TR series is particularly well-suited for applications requiring smooth, controlled braking. The shock absorbers are available in diameters ranging from 29 mm to 100 mm and cover an energy absorption range from 1.2 Nm to 146 Nm, offering a compact, reliable, and maintenance-free solution for a wide range of industrial applications.

TR-H Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer Bumpers – TR-H Series from ACE Controls are designed for radial deformation damping applications, providing prolonged and particularly gentle deceleration. Compared to the TR model, the TR-H version uses a harder material, which allows for greater energy absorption while maintaining controlled and progressive behavior.

The TR-H series perfectly complements the TUBUS range, positioning itself between the TR model—which features a more progressive action—and the TS model, which offers a more linear response. It is available in diameters ranging from 30 mm to 102 mm and covers a wide range of energy absorption, from 2.7 Nm to 4,276 Nm. These features make TR-H bumpers a versatile and reliable solution for numerous industrial applications requiring high damping performance without maintenance.

TR-L Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer Bumpers – TR-L Series from ACE Controls feature a radial deformation profile and are designed for applications requiring a particularly low reaction force. This configuration provides effective and controlled damping; the force generated is proportional to the length of the selected damping tube, allowing for a high degree of design flexibility.

The TR-L series is particularly well-suited for applications requiring adequate protection against shocks and impacts on flat surfaces, ensuring efficient damping without placing excessive stress on structures. TR-HD Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer Bumpers – TR-HD Series from ACE Controls retain the distinctive features of the TUBUS family, featuring a profile similar to the TR series but with a significantly more robust structure. This design allows for high energy absorption and superior strength, concentrated within a short working stroke. The different hardness levels of the material used allow for varying damping characteristics, adaptable to specific application requirements.

The unique, slightly biconcave design ensures a more progressive and controlled force response, making the TR-HD series ideal for applications requiring a high level of protection against collisions and impacts. The material’s density is the key factor behind its high strength, while the overall height has been optimized to remain compact. The bumpers can be installed either horizontally or vertically, thanks to the two screws provided for mounting; upon request, the mounting center distance can be specified in advance. The series covers an energy absorption range between 230 Nm and 5,208 Nm.

TC Series Tubus

The TUBUS Elastomer Bumpers – TC Series from ACE Controls have been specifically designed for use on overhead cranes, in compliance with international OSHA and CMAA standards. In this context, the high moving masses require damping systems capable of ensuring effective deceleration with a particularly high rebound force.

This performance is achieved thanks to the dual-profile design adopted in the TC-S models, which ensures reliable and controlled energy absorption even under severe operating conditions. The TC series is available in diameters ranging from 64 mm to 176 mm and covers an energy absorption range from 450 Nm to 17,810 Nm, offering a robust, safe, and durable solution for protecting industrial lifting structures and systems.
