TUBUS permanent deformation elastomer bumpers are designed for emergency stop applications where high energy absorption capacity is required in confined spaces. Made of a special copolyester elastomer, these components operate on the principle of controlled deformation: in the event of an impact, the element compresses irreversibly, dissipating up to 96% of the energy generated by the impact.
Permanent deformation is a specific design feature intended to ensure maximum protection of the structure and the mechanical components involved. Following an emergency intervention, the buffer must be replaced to ensure that safe operating conditions are fully restored.
The range is available in four models, with strokes ranging from 25 to 80 mm and absorption capacities corresponding to forces of up to 204,127 N. Compact, robust, and easy to integrate, these bumpers provide an effective and reliable solution for protecting limit switches, handling systems, automated equipment, and industrial applications subject to accidental impacts or critical stops.
