PNEUMATIC VIBRATORS: BALL, TURBINE, AND ROLLER

RTI PNEUMATIC VIBRATORS

RTI S.r.l. has been selling pneumatic vibrators on the Italian market for over 20 years. The company initially offered products from leading international brands, and later began manufacturing its own RTI-branded line, produced entirely at our facilities in Turin.

Passion, expertise, and technical know-how have enabled us to develop a complete range of pneumatic ball, turbine, and roller vibrators in recent years. Today, thanks to our new production facility and new investments in automated machinery, RTI vibrators have achieved even higher levels of quality and reliability.

All parts are meticulously manufactured and assembled at our facility, ensuring prompt delivery of all available models.

TYPES OF VIBRATORS

BALL VIBRATORS

In ball vibrators, the thrust is generated by a ball driven by compressed air that rolls along hardened steel tracks. The shape of the ball is not very efficient at transmitting thrust, but the open space allows for a high flow of air. Efficiency is lower, with higher energy consumption and noise levels, despite very high vibration frequencies.

TURBINE VIBRATORS

In turbine blowers, the thrust is generated by a turbine with lead counterweights driven by compressed air. The absence of friction and sliding parts, combined with the use of non-sparking materials, makes them ideal for applications with fire safety requirements. They offer very high efficiency, with low noise levels and air consumption.

ROLLER VIBRATORS

In roller vibrators, the thrust is generated by a roller driven by compressed air that rolls along two hardened steel tracks. Efficiency is limited, with high air consumption and noise levels. On the other hand, these models can achieve relatively high operating frequencies and thrust levels.

THE VIBRATION

Vibration is the oscillation of a body around its equilibrium position. Since it is a form of motion, a vibrating body possesses energy.

Vibration technology makes it possible to harness this energy in a practical way, thereby maximizing its significant potential. From a practical standpoint, vibrations influence the behavior of matter, with particularly noticeable effects on bulk materials. When applied correctly, vibrational force can move components in a specific direction, increase the cohesion of bulk materials to promote compaction, or reduce it to facilitate flow.

There are numerous applications. In industrial settings, vibration is used to improve container filling and packaging efficiency, to loosen powders and granular materials to facilitate the emptying of hoppers, or to transport products along chutes and conveyor systems. Vibrators are the active components that, like motors, transfer vibrational energy to the objects or structures on which they are installed. Pneumatic vibrators, in particular, are powered by compressed air and, in industrial applications, are primarily used in rotary, turbine, or ball-type versions.
