RTI’s Mechanical and Electrical divisions, working closely with Control Techniques engineers, are able to offer comprehensive solutions for industrial automation. Servo systems deliver high performance and great application flexibility: the drives can be integrated with a wide range of motion controllers via I/O or dedicated networks such as SERCOS and EtherCAT, or they can control the system directly through the integrated motion controller.

To optimize performance, we categorize our range of servo drives and servo motors based on the cycle required by the application:

  • Intermittent Duty
    Suitable for highly dynamic applications involving frequent and rapid acceleration and deceleration, such as pick-and-place systems, in-flight cutting, and linear cutting. It is characterized by high peak torque—up to 300% overload—and moderate RMS torque.
  • Continuous Duty
    Ideal for processes that require consistent precision and extended operation, with limited acceleration and deceleration, such as printing, winding, and labeling. In this case, peak torque is moderate, prioritizing stability and continuous operation.
